In this article it states that receptacles that provide power for water pump mtors or for other loads directly related to the circulation and sanitation system shall be located at least ten feet from the inside walls of the pool.

so I would assume that hardwiring a motor from a panel that is 12 ft from pool is not an issue?

Sounds good to me, but do you have a service disconnect at the motor?

If it was fed from a breaker in the panel, would that not be sufficient?

well the panel will be insite of the motor.. breaker will be labeled.

Also.. I doesnt matter in my case but out of curiosity, I heard the pool panel has to be with in 20 ft of the pool wall.. Is that a code? I couldnt find it
