Hey all, I've a question, so I've recently done a new wiring install on a house, the ground floor was wired by some other contractor and I was hired to wire the first floor, idk why they did that but they chose a me to wire their upper flat, so I did the install and the customer was there and happy with it and satisfied, after I left about 3 months after they called saying all of their downstairs lights blew, I did some tests and found out 440 volts were in the switch boxes, anyways I traced and found that one of their construction guys messed around the service meter and knocked out a neutral, and that was the issue, I have a few suggestions as to what happened with the lights but it was fixed and that was it, a few weeks later I got a call again, they said that their meter was spinning at a fast rate and that I should check it out, I found some issues where the step down transformer in the house which I installed was messed with, I took it down and I rewired it and it fixed the issues, I tested and the volts were back to normal and there was no volts on ground and neutral, also .02 amps, so there was no current draw to cause the meter to rack up points, a few weeks to by and the customer called again, when i went to the home i saw another electrician working and was ripping up everything I had done, he claims that my grounding wasn't good and that there were lots of faults so the customer wants me to pay for that guy's bill and the high electrical bill, so I said I'll make a decision later, I got to thinking, why didn't they call me so I could test and fix anything I found, why make me pay for another guy selling them false work? There was no issues when I left, I just need some answers what I should do.
