I have two customers that bought these Smart home panels with an additional
and want them added to their existing service panel. The existing service panels are in the garage and recessed into the stud bays.
The product’s instructions specify 1-1/4” conduit between main panel to the SHP and AFCI/gfci box.

I’m thinking of moving the main electrical panel to the surface of the wall so I can pipe between the separate panels in straight shots and not have to dive into the main panel with 1-1/4” emt.
Anyone see a better option.?
