I had the original Rigid SeeSnake which I believe was the first inexpensive one available to mere mortals like us. It was cool for what it was, but I just didn’t use it that often. Instead I used this little periscope type thing with a mirror and a light on it, it’ll let you look up or down in a wall or ceiling through a hole. I don’t see it for sale anymore, but that’s OK cause nowadays I just put my entire phone into the hole and snap a photo.

I think that little wireless camera you could put on the end of fiberglass rods is a pretty cool idea if you need something like that. If I needed an actual snake type I would probably buy a cheap one off of Amazon that connected to my phone unless I was going to use it really often.
