I have the drill, impact, flashlight combo. No problems so far. I've been using Hitachi cordless drills for about 25 years. A friend of mine borrowed the impact, he was so impressed ,he bought his own.

 

I've already got a Hilti cordless, but am wanting a grinder and impact wrench for cable ladder work. Getting a bit tired of having to replace Hilti batteries with dead cells, that is all.

I have used Hitachi on mine sites in the past and they seem to hold up pretty good. I don't know anyone who owns the newer ones with the sliding batteries, though.

 

Ok so my Hilti gear can stay at home from now on. Got a call from my supervisor to call into the office on my way home, had a nice new Metabo 18V kit there for me. Drill, impact driver, impact wrench, rotary hammer, grinder, recipro & torch.

John Frederic Daniell, in 1836 made a better one that was actually practical and not just a chemical hotpot.
