Just How Dangerous Are Purple Al/Cu Wire Nuts?

Anything improperly installed can be unsafe.

Two things on the purple wire nuts;

1) Most of the bad information on them is published by competitors or by people they are paying.

2) Take a good look at those photos, they typically show an improperly installed connectors. They are exceeding the number of wires under the connector, that causes the failures you see, amongst a few other things.
