I need to make room in a full main panel in order to install a pair of car charger feeders (I don't want them coming out of the subpanel).
I need to move circuits from a main panel to a subpanel next to it, the sub is being fed from the main.
I don't feel like pulling all the cables out of the main. The question: Can I install a raceway between the main and sub and just extend the hots from the main to the sub and land them on breakers inside of the subpanel? I would be leaving the neutrals and grounds in the main panel, but that's OK since the sub is fed out of the main anyway.
Any code issue?
