I have a 6kw Finlandia Sauna to wire. The manufacturer recommends a 25 amp minimum circuit at 240 volt. they specify #10 conductors. I'm wondering does the 125% rule apply for overcurrent protection and conductor size in the case of a sauna heater?

they are providing you with MINIMUMS. Not to be confused with what you really need. A spa 100 feet from the service is going to need bigger wire.

The last spa I wired did run pretty much 24-7. The owner provided set points and the spa maintained the temps and ran by itself for cleaning. If you really want to be a nice guy provide a 1/2 pvc line for water to the spa location. Keeps the hose length down to a dull roar.
