Hi there,

We just bought our house and every room has these ugly cord covers for the ceiling fans. Is it possible to run the wire through the ceiling & wall? We don't have an attic in this spot and the ceiling is wood. The cord goes from the fan down the side of the wall and into the wall near the electrical outlet behind the bed. See photo. Please let me know if there's a way for us to do this, or if we would need a licensed electrician. Thanks!

Take a color photograph and print it of that ceiling, then take the printed photo to a paint store and get it color matched. You only need a pint. Man they didn’t even try to hide that, and I agree it looks totally obnoxious.
