Hello, This is my first post so please go easy.

Just recently started business. Light industrial, Water/wastewater, assembly lines, conveyors, various industrial machines.

I am trying to find out how to charge after hours service calls. I must pay employees time x 1.5

So for an after hours service call would you just take your base service electrician rate and multiply by 1.5 or do you take lower profit and just cover the electrician's wage at 1.5x

Thank you

True after hours service calls? As in coming in to work? If I take them myself I don't slam people too hard, however if it is an emergency after hours and I call someone in it is billed as double time, time starts when they leave the bed and ends when they get back in bed.

If it becomes a problem of customers calling last minute Friday afternoon to get day rate, your weekend rates could begin at noon on Friday.

FIXED IT FOR YOU

So for an after hours service call would you just take your base service electrician rate and multiply by 1.6, 1.7, 1.8....... or do you take lower profit and just cover the electrician's wage at 1.5x.

Overtime affects day to day operations of the company and will affect you life, there is a burden the customer pays for that impact.
