Anyone buy a 40+ ckt 200 amp main breaker panel recently?
There are no pig tails on the AFCI breakers, they plug onto the neutral. Cleaner and faster install. Breakers cost more, $57 instead of $53.hardworkingstiff said:I have no idea what that means. Will you bring me up to speed please?
Thanks.
I'm not a fan of QO, and you can use the pig tail breakers if you want.wendon said:Why don't you use QO 54 space w/po option. Breakers are cheaper too.
I still wouldn't buy QO, it's Siemens or CH.wendon said:QO plug-on and pigtail AFCI's are the same price. Considerably cheaper than you're paying for CH.
You have to put a breaker in unless you run conduit to the first receptacle. You could get away with two, I don't think the HO would be too happy.Lep said:how many AFCI breakers are required these days, in new houses? it better to use AFIC receptacles an a smaller panel or one big panel?
I see three exceptions, two for conduit and one for concrete. There is no mention of 50 feet. 210.12 NEC 2011Lep said:I thought they allotted 50 feet or so for the home run
