I know that Article 250.66(A) states that the sole connection to a rod, pipe or plate electrode isn't required to be larger than #6 copper or #4 aluminum and 250.66(B) states that it doesn't have to be larger than #4 copper for a CEE. Where does Table 250.66 come into play?
If you have an 800A outdoor disconnect and a CEE isn't the largest conductor required to connect the disconnect to the CEE #4 copper? Or if you used (3) 8' driven 5/8" rods wouldn't the conductor from the rods to the disconnect be required to be #6 copper or #4 aluminum?
