Do any of you know how to.download the nec codebook on my smart phone?
I have not found any sites where I can purchase a digital download. Does anyone have any info they could direct me with? Thanks in advance.

Not sure why you would want this on your phone, loose your phone and this gets real expensive.
Your area has adopted the 2023? Mine is still on the 2017

I am not trusting when it comes to subscriptions and my phone.

No digital downloads exist. NFPA stopped making a PDF because of piracy. Your best bet is NFPA Link.

Dude the subscription stays with your NFPA Link account not on your phone. Why would it get expensive?

The only digital download-- not really a download is what is mentioned above. Nfpa Link gives you access to every NFPA document- building codes, fire codes, etc and it is only accessed online. The cost is $100 a year which imo is not that bad. If ones company can't come up with $100/yr. then something is not going well for them.

So one company buys a subscription and fifty employees can use the same username and password? That is a steal! I wonder why the boss is holding out with the username and password? It would be greatly appreciated, because $145 for the soft bound is a little steep too. At least I own the book and it won’t go away when I stop paying a subscription. Watch, they’ll put and end to that too.

If they cut out the piracy, why do they charge three times the amount for the subscription in one code cycle? Something smells fishy! Is the NFPA the real pirates?

Uhm...I highly doubt it.

This is a link to 2017 NEC handbook pdf download. I put a tab on my home screen for quick access. It lets you search and skip to the sections/pages you want.

We do not condone this activity. Please refrain from asking about bootleg copies. Thanks.

Btw, you don't really download the nec anymore. When you pay the subscription, you are basically going to a web site and using the nec online. So if you loose your phone it doesn't matter you still would have access to the nec.
