Looking into switching to newer style terminal blocks. What brand and style is most popular? Several different brands out there including Phoenix, Allen-Bradley, Weidmueller, Entrelec, Waco, Etc out there. Also many different styles including Spring, Push In, Screw Type, Fast connection, etc. What label makers is everyone using specifically for terminal block or anything made for labeling conductors and terminal blocks?

I have a bunch of the enterelec that I got for free, they are fine and I can buy the most common parts locally. When these get used up I am going to try Automation Direct, just because they have been easy to buy from for me. With the Enterelec I have had one part number hold up the order. Evidently my supplier can only get it from Mars, I have to pay stiff shipping charge, and it will come in in "probably two to three weeks" which means NEVER.

Automation Direct has a good web site / catalog and they actually can deliver what you see on there / in there.

+1 for the automation direct ones, I use the gray, green, blue and brown ones.

As for label makers this one has terminal strip setup in the program. I have been using this one for 2 years now and am real happy with it https://www.mcmaster.com/6687t1 . It does all types of labels, heat shrink, even magnetic ones and price for both machine and labels are not bad. The labels stick real nice without prepping the surface just wipe clean. I have printed about 5,000 labels so far with no problem

My personal preference used to be Automation Direct. For the company I work for, AD isn't consistent enough long term. (Their style changed a few years back leaving me with pieces that won't fit the current style.)
We have used Entrelec for a long time, but they are getting harder to get. For a machinery manufacturer, long term availability is a major issue. We are working up our enthusiasm to pick a new standard - probably Altech.
If you are only using a few at a time, it doesn't matter what brand they are, but "screw clamp" are the most universally convenient style.
