I'm now trying to figure out what exactly this covered RHW stuff is. Just curiousity. Can't imagine you could use Chap 9 tables on a SER type cable even if it did have RHW in it.

 

If this is what you are asking, I believe it is rubber with good thermal qualities as well as moisture resistance.

 

I've seen two kinds of RHW.

The kind I would call uncovered looks a lot like THW; thick rubberish insulation, and no nylon outer layer.

The other kind had a woven cloth-like stuff as an outer layer. This type might be 'covered', but I don't know for sure.

Again, I'm not sure, but I've heard that covered can be used in cable trays, uncovered can't.
