I am going to build an overhead 600 amp 3 phase service on a commercial building and I was planning on installing parrallel feeds in 500 Aluminum. The actual load will be well below 400 but the customer wants to have the ability to add another 200 amp breaker and panel to the main if it is needed in the future.
If my calculations are correct I should be well within my limits to use the 500 Al in parallel and connect to a 600 amp main then feed a new 400amp panel with a 400 amp breaker in the MDP. I would appreciate any insite or comments on this.
Thanks
